1CryoBio’s first product, called FlexiQuot, is a revolutionary patent-protected system for cryogenic storage of biological material. It is the first dividable cryogenic tube in the world with a total volume of 5 ml that can be separated into 5 aliquots of 1 ml. Each aliquot has a label on to avoid sample mix-ups. Using a snapping tool and a holder exactly for the dimensions of the tube, the user breaks off the aliquot that he needs, caps it and puts the rest back in the freezer without having to thaw the content of the entire vial for an analysis. This way, freezing - thawing issue and contamination of the sample are avoided, keeping its quality and stability. FlexiQuot combines the flexibility of multiple small cryogenic vials with the storage and cost effectiveness of one large cryotube. It also eliminates other basic disadvantages of fixed volume cryogenic tubes, such as human errors in labeling and storage or sub-optimal use of precious cryogenic storage space. Overall, FlexiQuot optimizes frozen sample storage.
1CryoBio is constantly striving to improve its existing products and to develop exciting new products with a strong pipeline to address the constantly evolving needs of labs to improve cost and work flow efficiency. Initially, other volumes and versions of FlexiQuot are expected in the near future. But this is only the beginning. 1CryoBio intends to bring a true revolution in cryopreservation, starting with FlexiQuot and continuing with a series of envisaged new products.
