1Voice - Communicating Together is a volunteer led, small UK wide charity that supports children and adults who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). AAC is the term given to methods of communication other than verbal speech. The charity was set up in 2000 by a parent of a communication aid user and a speech and language therapist who saw the enormous benefit of bringing together AAC users and their families to network, share knowledge and experience and most importantly, to provide an opportunity to communicate.
