2 Way Tenancy Solutions CIC was set up in 2014 as a result of the introduction and reform of the welfare system. The organisations’ aims and mission is to prevent homelessness and increase financial capability skills by working with clients to identify the root cause of their problems and taking a holistic approach in addressing and supporting their needs.
As an organisation we support clients with multiple complex needs whom everyone has tried to engage with and failed. The service is accessed by being referred by housing providers and others service providers who feel their clients might benefit from our services. We have a wide range of projects that cater to unique client groups.
We support many different clients with more complex needs such as those who have been through the criminal justice system, refugees and migrants, and people at risk of homelessness. Our projects are focussed on integrating into communities, promoting financial stability, securing employment, and setting up/running a home. We also provide a variety of training packages
• Reconnecting Communities: supporting clients who have been through the criminal justice system
• Home Ready – Pre-Tenancy skills programme: targeted at under 25s who are looking to set up their first home or those with a history of failed tenancies.
• Migrant Communities Programme: this is aimed at refugees or migrants who need support to integrate into the community, improve financial capability skills, and understand the welfare benefits system.
• Homeless Prevention Programme: supporting those who are at risk for homelessness through non-payment of rent and have failed to engage with services.
• 2 Way Tenancy Solutions CIC: Service information for the responsibilities that come with running a home
• 2 Way Employment Programme: working with people with multiple complex needs who are far removed from the labour market and need support to reconnect. It is a 12-week, 1:1, client-led, holistic programme.
