The Center for Textile Science and Technology (2C2T) is an excellence research unit of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, focused on developing innovative solutions for the textile value chain. With 47 collaborators and 31 integrated researchers, 2C2T takes a multidisciplinary approach in three key areas: Sustainability, Digitalization, and High-Performance Applications.
Priority research areas include High-Performance Engineering Textiles, Advanced Textile Processes, Sustainable and Regenerative Fibrous Materials, Textile Design & Fashion, and Smart Textiles. In addition to high-quality research, 2C2T invests in advanced education through doctoral and master's courses.
With a dual innovation model combining traditional methods and user-centered processes, 2C2T aims to remain at the forefront of research and innovation in its field, promoting industrial leadership and providing solutions to societal needs.
