Why I Do It? I want to have a positive impact on my community and would like to entertain and bring joy to everyone in the process. Today; individuals have their own favorite type of media content. With content available in every handheld device; people have become isolated and families are now more divided than ever. Therefore, I believe that one of the solutions lies in a new line of media entertainment that will bring families together to laugh, learn, and socialize. How I Do It? Creating family friendly characters in the form of hand-puppets to entertain family members of all ages, and to develop content that grabs their attention while also delivering a positive message. Developing comedic content that is more than just about generating laughs; where the message is as important as the joke and the artistic value. Carefully knitting positive messages in every production while allowing the audience to see things from a different perspective. Therefore, whether my content is presented online, on TV or through live performances; it’s a great conversation starter that includes the whole family. Each family member will find something to laugh about; which in turn will spark conversation between generations that rarely see eye to eye. Who Am I? I’m an edutainment content creator and performer who works on designing and building puppet characters to be used for live and video productions. I designed and built my main character called "Afroott" which is a puppet Yeti (Yeti: a large hairy creature resembling a human or bear, said to live in the highest part of the Himalayas). I have independently written, produced, and published the first season of the online comedy show: “Afroott”, as well as producing and marketing videos for companies and organizations that could be used as part of an entity’s CSR programs or awareness campaigns.
