360 Adaptation Lab (3AL) is a personal project, born out of the need to support a loved one with multiple disabilities.
3AL's goal is to enable daily experiences that are frustration-free for anyone, regardless of cognitive or physical ability and here is how we aspire to do it:
Empathy through experiences:
Within each of our communities, there are people with special needs, who encounter challenges daily, but little is understood by of us beyond caregivers and family-members. Through immersive workshops, we invite students, communities, and corporates to experience and explore inclusive possibilities firsthand to foster understanding and empathy.
Empowering designers, developers and engineers:
Our commitment extends beyond awareness. We intend to equip designers and engineers with user research and stories, experimental scientific data, and practical tools. By understanding the daily needs of people with diverse abilities, product designers and developers can be empowered to create universally accessible products.
Enabling conversations & collaborations:
We believe all stakeholders need to get involved and collaborate to make a more inclusive world. By bridging academia, industry, and community, we can drive inclusive innovations. Our workshops and design challenges would inspire empathy-driven solutions that enhance as many lives as we can.
