About 37th Judicial CASA

We train volunteers to provide dependable court advocacy, and trustworthy adult-child relationships, for child victims of abuse and neglect in Missouri's 37th Judicial Circuit, while these children are in the care of the state. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives. To qualify to become a CASA, you must: Be at least 21 years of age. Commit to serving until a case is closed (an average of 12 - 26 months). Devote 8-10 hours a month to your case. Pass criminal background checks. Call (417) 255-2100 to arrange a personal consultation with our trainer. Our Mission: The 37th Judicial Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a volunteer program providing a consistent voice for child victims of abuse and neglect in Howell, Shannon, Oregon and Carter counties.
