The 3D Imaging Centre, 3DIM, at DTU is a competence center for X-ray and neutron imaging.
Home to DANFIX, our 900 m2 laboratory with 10 CT scanners, inaugurated in 2021. CT scanning is provided with a spatial resolution varying from 2 µm on 100 µm thick samples to 100 µm on 20 cm thick samples. State-of-the-art laser vision equipment is available for high resolution surface scanning.
In collaboration with an imaging industry portal, we've engaged with 35 companies since 2013.
To deal with the complexity of imaging data, 3DIM collaborates with DTU, KU, LU, MAX-IV, and ESS, operating the joint data analysis center, QIM.
