3Discovered was an online transaction exchange platform for commercial-grade 3D printable designs and products until it ceased operations in 2018. It connected design owners and 3D printing service bureaus with customers who want to take advantage of 3D printing technology to simplify sourcing, improve customer service, and increase sales. Founded in 2013 3Discovered secured initial financing from AITV (Sway Ventures) and private investors and was the first exchange platform of its kind to incorporate commercial-grade features such as piracy protection, rights management, design validation, and multiple 3D printing locations and technologies.
