CCE specialises in the calculation of energy market non-commodity charges. In other words, how much does it cost to deliver energy to a specific meter. Our calculation engine is applicable to any market where details of non-commodity charges are available. A separate model is built for each market. The first model has been built for the electricity market in Great Britain, which is a good place to start as it seems to be the most complex. There are over 30 different charges involved and transmission and distribution losses. Data quality checks are carried out on consumption data and were it is feasible values are estimated for any missing data. Our partners have built various tools based on the data provided by CCE. The tools vary from reviewing of existing contracts to value for money assessments of various technologies that could be adopted to reduce future costs.
