Our mission is to help a community of individuals impacted by breast cancer and genetic mutations that lead to cancer. Our Thrivers. We strive to create a support system that makes everyone feel secure and included.
Whether you have been diagnosed with breast cancer or genetic mutation, no matter what stage or what age, you are welcome to become a Thriver.
We provide online and in-person support, monthly gatherings, educational workshops, wellness retreats, care packages, and meals when needed to those in the Southwestern Pennsylvania area. We also have a dedication to making people smile through their cancer diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. We help individuals do more than survive—we help them thrive.
Our Story:
One evening, a group of women whose lives had been upended by cancer gathered together. As they shared their stories, they quickly realized the profound need for a community that truly understood the emotional and physical toll of their journeys. In that moment, they found solace in each other’s experiences, sparking a shared mission to create a supportive network where no one would have to face cancer alone. The idea of a nonprofit that focused on not just breast cancer treatment but also survivorship and beyond was born. The name came organically in a conversation with Cara Snyder a few months later.
Over the years, 412Thrive has hosted a number of in person and virtual events. We have grown from 11 Thrivers to over 600. We provide dinners, emergency funding, personalized care packages, Wellness Retreat, and support groups. The most important thing we provide is a community of support for Thrivers of all ages and all stages.
