The aim of the Unit is to consolidate and enhance work on digital policy and the digitalisation of politics globally, with an emphasis on trends in Africa, by the UJ Department of Politics and International Relations. Additionally, the Unit is aimed at facilitating internship and career opportunities for students in the Department within the digital sectors. The 4DPRU is primarily staffed by postgraduate students who serve as Research Associates.
