The 4th Ranger Training Battalion (RTB) executes rigorous training to create competent and capable Rangers and Reconnaissance Leaders, enabling the US Army and the Joint Force to prevail in combat. It provides world-class air movement and air medical evacuation support to the US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Moore, Georgia. 4th Ranger Training Battalion (RTB) Core Missions • Conduct the foundational phase of the military's premier leadership course, US Army Ranger School. Assessing and training 3,400 Rangers per year. • Conduct the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course. Training 370 Reconnaissance Leaders per year. • Provide air assault, air movement, and special mission aviation training to the US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence in all flight modes via eight Blackhawk helicopters. • Provide emergency air medical evacuation to the Fort Moore community, 107,000 people, via seven Blackhawk helicopters.
