All Access: Day 5 – A Cross-Border Education Journey to Finlandhttps://lnkd.in/dje2r-tcFriday kicked off bright and early as the Golden Connections delegation departed Tallinn, Estonia for a full day of exploration in neighboring Finland—continuing our school tour with great anticipation. Upon arrival in Finland, the team split into two groups. One group visited schools within Helsinki, while the other headed just outside the city to Vantaa. The Vantaa group’s first stop was Helsinge Skola, a Swedish-speaking high school—one of the few of its kind in Finland. In a truly memorable moment, we were warmly greeted in Swahili by the region's equivalent of the Head of the Teachers Service Commission, a gesture that brought both surprise and smiles to the group. He gave an enthusiastic and informative presentation on Finland’s education structure, after which the school’s principal led us on a guided tour. The visit coincided with the final day of school before the long summer break, giving us a glimpse of the joy and excitement within the school community.#GoldenConnections#EducationStudyTour
