5G-GOVSATCOM

The project aims to integrate 5G-NTN with EU-GOVSATCOM services by developing and evaluating key technologies in a user environment. It involves adapting radio access procedures for geostationary mobile terminals, integrating user equipment with operationally-focused antennas, and enabling seamless handover between terrestrial networks and NTN. Validations will occur in lab settings before experimental testing with final users, focusing on telemedicine in maritime areas and crisis management connectivity.
