6575 Tekstbureau (6575 Text Agency) is a one-man company owned by independent writer, editor, translator and researcher Peter-Jan Vermeij. 6575 is located in the historical center of Zutphen, a small town that dates back to when the Romans ruled our so called Low Lands. It has been said that the Spaniards fired their 16th century canons at what is now the location 6575 - the thick walls courageously having withstood the assault. 6575 specializes in writing and editing for on- as well as offline publications - from a martial arts website to technical installation manuals, from historical books to television guides, from strictly commercial to non-profit. 6575 is also a thorough research company, skilled in both desk- and fieldwork concerning historical and sociological research. INTERNATIONAL Although one of 6575's specialties is translating texts to and from the English language, internationally the company is striving to operate as a research assistant. Having access to a number of important research locations here in the Netherlands - such as the National Archive and the Center for Genealogy in The Hague; the city archives of Rotterdam and Amsterdam; and also CEDLA (inter-university Centre for Latin American Research and Documentation) and the Utrecht University Library - 6575 can make valuable contributions to historical and sociological research on a wide variety of topics, as well as to personal genealogical research.
