Founded in 2012 by Jean-Baptiste Pauchard, 7000 began as an independent platform bridging fashion, photography, design, and contemporary art. In collaboration with the legendary Steve Hiett — 7000’s first Creative Director — the magazine took shape with rhythm, elegance, and creative freedom at its core.
After several acclaimed editions, 7000 relaunched in 2019 during international fashion weeks with a broader vision and collectible format: 300 pages of striking photography, sharp writing, and immersive storytelling.
Today, 7000 stands as a collaborative platform — a constellation of forward-thinking creators across disciplines. While the world has changed, our mission remains: to offer honest, independent storytelling and showcase enduring imagery, meaningful voices, and untamed ideas.
Photography is still our foundation, but our scope has grown to include experimental design, contemporary art, and creators who defy convention. With its bold format and meticulous production, each issue of 7000 resembles an art book — a curated glimpse into the cultural icons of now and tomorrow.
