1. Setting up
At this early stage, we separate the best coffee beans, grind and start boiling the water. The aim is to gather all the information necessary for the demand and the people involved to be really understood.
Objectives: Immersing, understanding, creating empathy.
Entries: Client’s market knowledge, end user insights, inspirations from competitors.
Processes: Conversations, benchmarks, interviews, observation tests.
Outputs: Empathy maps, personas, benchmark report.

2. Filtering
In the middle stage, we take the boiling water and pour it in the colander, in order to extract all the essence of the coffee. The goal is to sketch and prototype as many solutions to the problem as quickly as possible.
Objectives: Sketching, filtering, testing.
Entries: Empathy maps, personas.
Processes: Creating sketches, creating wireframes, creating sitemaps.
Outputs: User flows, wireframes.

3. Refining
In the final stage, we serve the table, gather opinions and we will sweeten it according to the taste. The goal is to present the best solution, always listening to feedbacks and refining the deliverable as needed.
Objectives: Present, validate, improve.
Entries: Wireframes, sitemaps.
Processes: Creating mockups, creating scripts, usability testing.
Outputs: Mockups, usability test report.
