85 Degrees is a renewable energy business formed to identify and develop high-quality geothermal projects in Europe, initially focusing on the Netherlands. With some of Europe’s most experienced geothermal specialists in our management team, 85 Degrees is well positioned to deliver on the ambitious energy transition targets set out by the Dutch government and the European Union. The company will provide direct heating for three target sectors: agriculture, housing, and industry, all of which stand to significantly benefit from a clean, affordable, and sustainable source of heat. Embracing the need for a rapid energy transition, we are developing and delivering carbon dioxide-free energy and heating in a third of the time it currently takes other players in the Netherlands’ market. All our projects are low-pressure, low risk and water-based, meaning that, alongside causing minimal visual disruption, there is negligible risk to local communities during the drilling or upgrading of well sites.
