A 911 Call Center will get accurate location information when you dial 911 from a mobile phone while inside a virtual boundary known as a geofence The geofence includes every public area, private space, parking lot indoors and outdoors. Detailed digital maps of your grounds and buildings live within the cellular network. 911informs's software integrates with your phone system, door access system and video surveillance. It can also integrate with strobe lights, gunshot detection and facial recognition systems. Communication between your facility and emergency responders runs via a private gateway. The gateway to the cloud handles vital information even without electricity or internet. 911 calls from a mobile phone travel through the Public Switched Telephone Network. If they originate from within a 911GeoFence, we can provide an alert to the enterprise of the 911 call. This applies to any 911 call made with a smartphone within the 911GeoFence.
