About A Cappella Records
A Cappella Records is an independent record label that provides digital licensing and distribution services to a cappella groups. In a genre dominated by cover songs and characterized by mashups, in-line samples and medleys, ACR acquires the appropriate rights and disperses mechanical royalties to over 200 publishers. As of the end of 2011, A Cappella Records distributes over 1500 songs to 400 digital retailers including iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, Spotify and Rdio. Five of our artists have been featured on the NBC a cappella reality show – “The Sing-Off”. In 2013, the A Cappella Records team merged the brands A Cappella Records, Joypad Records, and re:discover songs under the name Loudr. In 2016, Loudr sold it's distribution side to CD Baby so that the team could focus exclusively on matching sound recordings to compositions and administrating publishing rights at scale.
