WITH A HISTORY DATING BACK to 1872 Baldwin's is one of the largest and longest established Numismatic dealers and auction houses in the world. Our dedicated team of specialists have over 150 years combined experience covering all areas of numismatics including English, Ancient and Foreign coins, military and commemorative medals, tokens, books and banknotes. Over our long history we built up an impressive reserve of numismatic items and provided important coins for numerous collectors. The name A. H. Baldwin & Sons became synonymous with the London numismatic scene in 1901 when Albert Henry set up his first London premises on Duncannon St, joined later by his sons Fred (legendary cataloguer of King Farouk coin collection) and Roy. We moved to the present location at 11 Adelphi Terrace in 1971. The establishment of Baldwin’s Auctions in 1994 by Edward Baldwin has seen the firm develop further to conduct auctions in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. Although remaining anonymous in the catalogues Baldwin's have provided expertise for the most prestigious auction houses including Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Glendinings. The Baldwin family was renowned for the encouragement and support they gave to collectors and students of numismatics.
