Amrita - Model United Nations Society (A-MUNSO) is the official MUN society of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, dedicated to fostering global awareness, diplomacy, and leadership among students. Founded with the vision of creating articulate, informed, and empathetic leaders of tomorrow, A-MUNSO provides a platform for students to explore international relations, policy-making, public speaking, and negotiation through active participation in Model UN conferences and training programs. Our society regularly organizes simulations, workshops, and debate sessions that mirror the structure of the United Nations, enabling members to develop critical thinking, research, teamwork, and persuasive communication skills. With 80+ passionate members and a thriving culture of debate and diplomacy, we aim to bridge global issues with local action. We proudly hosted Amrita MUN'24 – the university’s first-ever flagship MUN conference featuring six dynamic committees and over 200 delegates from across South India.
