A Tiny Home for Good is a small non-profit organization with a mighty mission; to end homelessness in Syracuse, NY.
After working at a homeless shelter and seeing the same people cycle through a system of horrendous temporary housing options only to end up back in the shelter, founder and executive director Andrew Lunetta knew there had to be a better way.
Founded with a basic belief in humanity and the power of a home base, A Tiny Home for Good builds safe, affordable, dignified housing on vacant lots in the city. Each home is then rented to an individual facing homelessness. But, it doesn’t stop there.
With each new house we build and every new resident we’re able to welcome home, we realize that having a home base is only the beginning. Through partnerships with local organizations, residents are connected with professional care managers to provide additional support.
Our greatest hope is for our residents’ success and well-being. We believe that providing affordable and dignified homes is a strong first step to a better life.
