A8 is a privately-owned venture builder focusing on commercialising research-based innovations, particularly those born, developed, and funded through the European Research Council (ERC), the European Innovations Council (EIC), and the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). A8 is currently building up a portfolio of startups with disruptive innovations, whilst developing and operating its very own flagship Genomics Software Suite (GSS). Other notable projects run by A8 include Ventures Thrive – an EIC backed investment initiative supporting 32 deep-tech startups from Widening countries. Furthermore, as a recognized EIC partner and beneficiary in EIC Transition projects, A8 plays a key role in: • eBeam4Therapy – Pioneering the use of lasers in next-generation healthcare applications. • BioPure – Developing breakthrough production technology for biomedicine. • AQLAS – Engineering laser modules for atomic quantum • XXXXX – Powerful Solid State cooling using light Our mission is to give innovators freedom and peace of mind to work on their daily activities whilst we handle technology and business development as well as partner and resource acquisition.
