The students of the specialty of Geological Engineering of the National University of Engineering interested in the hydrocarbons industry and sponsored by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists through membership in this international association, join to constitute the student group called "UNI Student Chapter of AAPG ". The specific aims of the UNI Student Chapter of AAPG are included in the mission and vision of the student body: MISSION: UNI Student Chapter of AAPG has the mission of carrying out activities that promote the learning of geology, with the purpose of improving scientific competences and techniques of future UNI professionals; especially those linked to the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, as well as other underground fluids and mineral resources for the production of energy. VISION: To be the leading student section in the Latin American region and with worldwide projection, with technical and scientific capacity in the knowledge of hydrocarbon geology; promoters of the development of leading professionals with a high international level for the great challenges that lie ahead in our field.
