Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic (AAVEC) is a 24-hour emergency and critical care veterinary center in Annapolis, Maryland. We have multiple ER veterinary doctors on staff and are equipped to handle any pet emergency or critical care case 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our hospital was opened in 1991 by Medical Director Dr. Tom Kozek and is a member practice of Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, a coalition of veterinary specialists in the disciplines of emergency medicine, surgery, canine rehabilitation, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, eye care, neurology, radiation oncology, and veterinary radiology.
Our Annapolis facility boasts approximately 28,000 sq. ft. of space designed with minimal impact to our natural environment, and to ensure that our clients and patients receive superior service and care from our multiple ER doctors on staff.
Our state-of-the-art facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and advanced equipment allow our doctors to perform delicate, complex procedures that would only normally be performed at university veterinary hospitals. The facility includes nineteen (19) examination rooms, a comfortable waiting room, seven advanced operating suites, and several specialty treatment suites.
