AAV Plastics are a fully integrated injection moulding manufacturer.
We undertake projects from as early as is required. We carry offer initial concept, part design, tool design, toolmaking, injection moulding and product finishing - assembly, packing, plating, printing etc as required.
Started in 1988 our core business is injection moulding, but we recognise that customers need a complete package to get the best from the injection moulding process.
We have a deep understanding of both moulding and toolmaking which enables us to provide best advice and design support to reduce tooling costs while at the same time making the most of the opportunities which injection moulding can offer.
We have a long and deep experience of projects running from small parts which can be run on interchangeable inserts to large scale parts - (1m long) parts used in renewables applications which have helped customers achieve cost downs of up to 90% compared to the previous methods of manufacture.
We are very happy to provide advice and approximate quotations at an initial feasibility stage.
We have our own well equipped toolroom which enables us to ensure that tools are available despite any issues which may arise, and also keep CAD data on tools which are made to assist with this.
We are well known and valued by our customers for the support we provide in terms of product improvement, dealing with issues as they arise and further development.
We operate a fully integrated CAD/CAM system - which provides product design, tool design, Computer aided Manufacturing in generating tool paths for CNC milling and for wire paths for Wire EDM- wire erosion. We operate 2 wire eroders- which are also used for local companies doing contract wire erosion when required. We operate 2 CNC Spark erosion EDM machines. We also have well developed direct relationships with Far Eastern toolmakers to enable us to offer cost affective tools, but we fully support these tools in terms of repairs and modifications within our own toolroom.
Our moulding machines range from 25 to 260 tonnes. We have core pulling fitted to more than half of the machines.
