We are two professors in design and management who are trying to connect humans with culture again and are reimagining craft economy post the pandemic. We are passionate to change the mindset approach towards craft and reimagine a small community that supports artists and craftsmanship across our country at-least. Aayat is a handcrafted pure silver jewelry brand. Every handcrafted piece is an everyday design story created by us. Our long term goal is to provide aspirational youth authentic high-quality designs that blend with the essence of Indian culture with modern aesthetics, while staying true to our customers every step of the way. A little bit about the brand name- AAYAT: "Verses of the Quran" – Each verse in the Quran is called an "Aayat". Bringing in cultural aspects to adorn silver is our brand muse. In different cultures, especially among Arabic-speaking and Muslim communities, the name Aayat can carry a sense of pride and respect. It is often chosen for its spiritual resonance and connection to the sacred verses of the Quran. The name is sometimes interpreted metaphorically as a “sign of beauty” or “symbol of knowledge” that guides individuals toward spiritual enlightenment.
