About ABA Antitrust Law Section - Privacy and Information Security (PRIS)

The Privacy and Information Security Committee (PRIS) within the Antitrust Law Section is one of the ABA's premier groups for developments in data privacy, information and cyber security, providing updates on major developments and analyzing salient issues. Throughout the year, we work on data privacy, information and cyber security issues relating to law enforcement, rulemakings, policy issues and other actions taken by the FTC, DOJ, Commerce, CFPB, FCC, other federal agencies, state attorneys general, and their international counterparts. We provide our members with timely domestic and international updates and analysis about key developments and monitor and report on litigation, technology, business practices, legislation, regulatory and self-regulatory initiatives. Our programming also covers law comments, collaboration with other ABA and Antitrust Law Section committees as well as data privacy, information and cyber security publications of interest to practitioners, in-house counsel, technologists, economists and young lawyers. PRIS also recently launched a Young Lawyers and Professionals Advisory Panel (YLAP) and received an Innovation Award for its dynamic programming.
