ABALEYA Carpooling Service is the first Carpooling Service in Zambia. It was founded in 2019 by four individuals in four different professions, An Electrical/Mechanical Engineer, a Computer scientist, a Marketer and a Human Resource manager.
The venture was inspired by the Drawbacks of road congestion, limited travel options and the ever-increasing travel fares that have been rocketing at an average of 25 percent per year in the past 8 years, and a vision to promote social graciousness and social responsibility therefore teaching each other how to be considerate citizens while attaining a greener environment by reducing on the carbon emission.
ABALEYA provides an online marketplace for carpooling. It connects drivers and passengers willing to travel together between cities/towns and share the cost of the journey.
