The Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB) aims to be the respected voice of banking in Bulgaria, recognized for its professional, transparent and forward-looking approach. Our purpose is to help the Bulgarian society and economy to prosper by uniting our knowledge and resources and driving innovation in finance and payments.
ABB is a trusted partner of public authorities and other public and private entities in the financial sector. The Association focuses at contributing for a sustainable financial ecosystem; a trusted and stable banking sector with secure digital services and a well-informed society with high financial literacy.
ABB was established in 1992 as one of the first non-profit branch organizations.
Currently ABB has 17 full members and 5 associate members which employ about 45.000 people in the banking sector in Bulgaria.
As of 2007, ABB is a full member of the European Banking Federation (EBF).
