• WHO ARE WE? ‘Abhigyata’ is derived from a ‘hindi word’, meaning, ‘Awareness’. As prospective heirs of the nation, we realize our responsibility and role in the modern Indian society. By attempting to spread organ donation and transplantation awareness, we aim to increase peer to peer interaction on this topic which can serve as the catalyst for family discussion and has the potential to change the beliefs of not only high-school students but also their families and thus whole society. • ABHIGYATA’S VISION: To offer the right information about organ donation to the youth who can the share the acquired knowledge with all. • ABHIGYATA’S MISSION: Despite the efforts of several organizations to increase awareness, the topic of organ donation is still not discussed openly in Indian families and until this happens the multiplying impact of dissemination of information from one person to another will not occur. Abhigyata is on a mission to achieve an increase in deceased organ donation so that no one needs to endanger his/ her life by becoming a living donor. • OBJECTIVES : 1) To create student to student (S2S) awareness among high-school students through a proper training program. 2) To provide participation opportunities to individuals and organizations through a volunteer network. 3) To clear the myths associated with Organ donation and share the correct information. 4) To host campaigns, arrange competitions and start challenges on social media platforms to engage with the youth 5) Networking and organizing events with other organizations and individuals advocating the importance of Organ Donation. 6) Raising resources to promote organ donation efficiently
