American Board of Imaging Informatics sets the professional certification standards for excellence in healthcare informatics, a growing field of high-tech healthcare pioneers. With the Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) designation, ABII: •Establishes eligibility requirements for professionals who may apply for certification, based on their experience and education. •Creates and maintains a certification exam according to strict psychometric principles that include practice analysis, item writing and secure delivery to eligible applicants. •Establishes and manages continuing education requirements to ensure individuals are engaged in their profession and kept abreast of advancements in quality, technology and best practice. •Sets and manages recertification requirements.
