Able Hydraulics

Able Hydraulics was founded in 1981. Originally based in Preston, Lancashire, the Company soon built a reputation for the supply of quality hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies and couplings to both Original Equipment Manufacturers and end user replacement markets. Five years on and following the immediate success of a pilot depot at Salford Quays in Manchester, the decision was taken to relocate the entire business to Manchester into larger premises in Trafford Park. The move was a huge success with the Company growing rapidly over the next few years. Many new products were introduced and the name Able Hydraulics became synonymous as a "one stop shop" for hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial hose products. Customers appreciated the speedy trade counter service and knew that they could rely on the local same day, free of charge, parts delivery service. In 1999 the introduction of an on-site hydraulic hose replacement service proved another major success. Today, a team of highly trained hose engineers operate out of a fleet of fully stocked mobile workshop vans offering rapid response to hose assembly breakdown. In 2004, Able Hydraulics was appointed as Authorised Service Centre for Hiab Lorry Loader Cranes incorporating Multilift. This involves the service, repair, parts supply and regulation testing of Hiab products. The collaboration with a prestigious world brand leader such as Hiab has once again raised the profile of Able Hydraulics - the evidence of which is the expanding customer base, month on month.
