The Alberta Metal Building Association is dedicated to preserving and improving the quality, service, integrity and successful growth of the metal building systems industry in Alberta by promoting: - Steel erection specific education and certification - Recruitment of apprentices and journeymen to our services workforce - The use of quality engineering and design practices with the metal building systems manufacturing group - Assured ethical treatment of its members’ customers, suppliers, and sub-trades - Cooperation as a group to assure conformity across the province with requirements laid down by the province and industry training for metal building system erectors AMBA provides a source for updates on information and developments affecting metal building erectors in the province of Alberta. Service AMBA provides include: - Information on apprenticeship classes - Challenge of MBSE examinations by qualified applicants - Seminars - Newsletters - Long-term industry outlook for Association membership Current market indicators are that the metal building industry will continue to be active for 2017 and beyond. Shortages of qualified workers, both journeymen and apprentices, continue to challenge the industry. Training opportunities for new apprentices are vital in order to offer solutions for future manpower requirements.
