About ABN Television
ABN TV has been created to bridge the gap between the ethnic and main stream broadcasting and in doing so, to reflect the interest and aspirations of the African-Caribbean, British and European communities. To make this possible ABN TV has put emphasis on quality through the style and contents of its programming to reflect strong family values. ABN TV aims to demonstrate empathy towards the ethnic audience group through its choice of programmes and programme makers. ETHNIC DIVERSITY African-Caribbean influence in Britain is expanding at a phenomenal rate with over three million people of African-Caribbean origin; with an annual spend of over seven billion pounds per annum. In recognition of the positive way in which this culture is reflected, ABN TV is setting out to be the benchmark by which all future broadcasting innovation in this field will be measured. TARGET AUDIENCE ABN TV aims to be the broadcast platform for the three million plus African-Caribbean’s in the UK and five million plus in Europe. Specific emphasis will be placed on attracting second and third generation African-Caribbean who have more disposable incomes. PROGRAMMING The strength of ABN TV lies in its in-depth understanding of the cultures of the core audience it serves. ABN TV’s fundamental ethos is to make itself totally relevant to the communities it serves and to remain relevant at all times in its programming and objectives. This will be achieved without giving ground on high production values that will be maintained at all times. ABN TV is and remains the most effective cultural tool for informing, educating and entertaining our core audience.
