Historie společnosti ABNER sahá až do 80. let 19. století, kdy byla založena stříbrnická dílna a výroba podnosů, pudřenek, cigaretových pouzder a dóz. Rozvoj výroby později i stříbrných příborů je pevně spojený se jménem BIBUS. V průběhu II. Světové války se veškerá výroba přeorientovala na dodávky leteckých součástek firmě METALBAU.
