Through forensic analysis and team-effort, we showed how Drax burns millions of trees. Drax didn’t expect 99 cross-party MPs to co-sign our letters demanding answers. Or two critical front-page reports in the Telegraph. Or for BBC Panorama to expose how it cut down primary forests in October 2022. Or the £280 million collapse in its share price.
Time and time again we win. We challenge poor policy-making and protect client reputations across a growing range of areas:
CLIMATE: we start evidence-based discussions on the pros and cons of different energy sources. We question why greenwashing corporations like Drax receive millions in subsidies while companies with lower emissions face opposition from vested interests.
CONSERVATION: we have earned the trust of politicians and the media on complex animal welfare issues. The odds were stacked against our client when Boris and Carrie Johnson lobbied for new regulations. But we forced a U-turn after just six weeks.
HEALTH: we convince select committees and regulators of the scientific case for smoking alternatives. We fended off an EU vaping ban with a front-page story in The Economist. We established the All Party Parliamentary Group on CBD products.
LEGAL: we have fought for a whistleblower dentist, an emeritus professor and scientists maligned in the press. Using political and media pressure, we encourage the other side to settle.
INDUSTRIAL: we have raised the profile of everything from oxobiodegradable plastics to battlefield dressings being used by the Ukrainian army.
CELEBRITIES AND CHARITIES: we expose the hypocrisy of those who use their platforms to misrepresent our clients. But we also work with scientists, farmers, ordinary activists, and celebrities like Jeremy Clarkson and Ian Botham.
