Academy Press Plc, has come a long way, established in 1965, with the head office situated at No 28/32 Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju Industrial estate, Lagos and occupies a land mass of approximately 172,800 sq. meters land. Primarily, the Company provides general commercial, security and specialized printing required for the production of educational books, periodicals, annual reports, brochures, posters and confidential prints etc. The Initial desire of the founding fathers was to float a printing company that would break the monopoly of European printers which hitherto was responsible for corporate and educational printing in Nigeria then. This was achieved with great commitment and hard work. Through the sacrifice of the founding fathers. R.B. Gamble (American), B.A. Idris-Animashaun (Chairman), D. Yellop (British), Prof. A.B. Fafunwa. Academy Press Plc, grew over time, with the trends of evolution in print industry. The first to install the first web offset printing machine in West Africa and from the use of Lithographic Films to Computer-To-Plate (CTP) Pre-Press and finally Digital Printing (e.g Variable Data Printing, VDP), all these improvement are to the satisfaction of our customers’ as well as maintaining the grandeur of leading the print industry in Nigeria.
