African And Caribbean Arts And Heritage Union

African And Caribbean Arts And Heritage Union company information, Employees & Contact Information

We are an MK societal impact organisation, drawn from across African & Caribbean communities to tackle known issues, with locally managed and expert-led solutions. The African and Caribbean Arts & Heritage Union (ACAHU) was brought together by Mike Kasibo, local councillor and social entrepreneur in 2019. This connecting of community groups/activities from across MK's African and Caribbean communities was for their young people, where Mike knew communities had concerns about MK youth challenges (knife and gun crime, identity, indefinite suspension from schools, NEET category, under achieving, bullying etc) which everyone felt could be solved better inside communities, and by working together. Today, the ACAHU is a significant hidden resource focused upon addressing these issues from deep within closed communities; collaborating with wider communities to focus upon better youth representation, inclusion, social mobility by engaging them into art, music, dance, heritage and sport.
