The Accelerate to Industry (A2i) program, originally founded and trademarked at the North Carolina State University Graduate School, has grown into a shared community dedicated to supporting graduate students and postdocs as they explore careers beyond academia. With the program’s expansion to more than 40 academic institutions through a National Science Foundation Innovation in Graduate Education grant, this LinkedIn group was created to foster collaboration among academic partners and build connections within the A2i community.
This group serves as a platform for sharing highlights, program updates, and best practices across institutions, strengthening the collective effort to provide career development resources tailored to graduate students and postdocs. It also offers a space for posting job opportunities and career-related announcements, further supporting trainees as they transition into non-academic roles.
We are hopeful this will evolve into a dynamic space for graduate students and postdocs to connect with each other, exchange ideas, and expand their professional networks across institutions. Through this collaborative effort, the A2i community can continue empowering future leaders to find meaningful careers in industry, government, non-profit, and other sectors.
