The project Nordic Acceleration Program for Integration through Knowledge & Networks aims to contribute to the creation of the world’s most sustainable and integrated region by the year 2030 with a focus on social sustainability. We aim to accelerate the social and economic integration of immigrants in the Nordics by developing and leveraging a blended (digital and in place) program that includes peer-to-peer mentoring, network development, and knowledge on Nordic Culture & Leadership for active citizenship and Entrepreneurship & Digitalization for self-employment.
We are convinced that our program can be a relevant tool to increase the science-based conditions that any social system requires to reach social sustainability such as increased trust among Nordic citizens and institutions, acknowledging the importance of diversity to cope with challenges, creating a sense of common meaning, as well as increasing learning and self-organization capacities of the nordic citizens.
The consortium is formed by 9 expert partners working on sustainability, social innovation, entrepreneurship, and education in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Åland. Our aim is to implement the program with 400 persons. The program is funded by The Nordic Council of Ministers and is a coordinated work for the Office of Knowledge and Welfare of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
