ACCESS is the first provider of Online and On Demand Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) in the Philippines.
Since 2017, ACCESS, in partnership with Adamson University’s College of Law, has been a duly accredited MCLE provider in good standing with proven experience and a track record in delivering quality and substantive MCLE programs.
In March 2020, ACCESS Inc. was accredited under MCLE Governing Board Resolution No. 03-2020 as the first and only proponent to have sufficiently complied with the requirements to provide online MCLE credit courses for members of the Philippine Bar across the Philippines and abroad.
Changing the Game
It all started with a vision of ACCESS’ founder, Atty. Peaches Martinez - Aranas to provide more accessible alternatives to the traditional delivery of continuing education for lawyers, accountants, and other professionals. Together with Alex Canata and his 15-years of experience in the MCLE industry, she partnered with Israeli software systems architect Avi Levak who developed a viable and secure online MCLE solution for Philippine lawyers.
The team then presented ACCESS’ proof of concept and robust authentication system to the MCLE Office and Governing Board, the Supreme Court's Subcommittee on Maintenance of Membership in the Philippine Bar under the leadership of Associate Justice Marvic F. Leonen, and eventually to the Justices of the Supreme Court en banc.
On February 5, 2020 the Supreme Court, in an 11-page en banc resolution in A.M. No. 19-10-16-SC, approved the Rules and Regulations in the Conduct
of MCLE Online.
ACCESS is honored to have helped paved the way for online MCLE to become a reality for the first time in the MCLE’s 20-year history.
