With our headquarters domiciled in Nairobi, Kenya, the African Confederation of Cooperative Savings & Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) is a Non-Governmental, Pan-African Confederation of National Associations of Savings and Credit cooperatives societies in Africa.
In recent years, ACCOSCA having been established in Kenya by Co-operative Leaders from Across the continent in 1968- has worked with stakeholders in promoting the usage of the Co-operative Business Model in a manner that would organically contribute towards the stimulating economic growth and development of a country. As such since its revitalization program at the Malawi General Assembly in 2007, ACCOSCA has been leading the continent towards promoting financial inclusion in local communities.
During this period, ACCOSCA has provided leadership in the promotion of regulatory framework, created awareness about the importance of inclusivity, and supported innovative initiatives aimed at improved service to members. As a result of constant engagement, professionalism, and research, there has been significant growth in the cooperative sector across all indicators, courtesy of ACCOSCA.
