Aclima - אקלימא

Aclima provides a platfom that empowers municipalities with knowledge, tools, and partnerships necessary to build climate resilience. We believe that by fostering a community-driven approach, we can collectively address the challenges of climate change and create sustainable, resilient localities. In recent years, Ministries have led several programs to promote climate change preparedness in local government, based on the understanding that the local authority is at the forefront of dealing with everything that affects the daily lives of its residents. That led to the idea to establish a center that would provide practical solutions for climate change preparedness to professionals within municipalities, with the understanding that soon, many authorities would have strategic plans for climate change preparedness, and they would need practical tools to implement them on the ground. Thus, a partnership between KKL and the Roadbourg Foundation, at the end of 2023 infrastructure for the new organization - "Aklima" - was established. Our goals are to provide practical solutions for climate change preparedness and building climate resilience in municipalities, to provide the infrastructure for professional learning knowledge communities and a network of collaborations, and to offer data-driven measurement and management tools.
