About Airspace Change Organising Group (ACOG)

The Airspace Change Organising Group (ACOG) was set up in 2019 at the direction of the Secretary of State for Transport (DfT) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to coordinate the delivery of key aspects of the Government’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy, namely the national programme of airspace change. The programme requires the UK's main airports to redesign their airspace below 7000ft and for NATS, the UK’s main air traffic control provider, to modernise the network that sits above, which is known as en-route airspace. ACOG’s role is to help ensure that the proposed changes fit together seamlessly and enable an effective, efficient and sustainable airspace infrastructure for the future.
