ACOSET SpA was established in 1911 in Italy under the trading name “CONSORZIO ACQUA POTABILE DEL BOSCO ETNEO“. Acoset is a company working in the sector of water distribution and sewage management on behalf of the municipalities located in the territory of the ETNA mountain in Sicily (Catania). The bulk of ACOSET business consists of the production, purchase, storage, treatment, testing, distribution and sale of water for domestic, industrial and public uses. The Company also provides several distribution-related services: full water system operation, customer relationship management, billing and meter reading services, remote sensing and control of the distribution network, communications network management to approximately 350,000 customers in 20 municipalities (Aci Bonaccorsi, Aci S. Antonio, Adrano, Belpasso, Camporotondo Etneo, S. Giovanni Galermo, Gravina di Catania, Mascalucia, Nicolosi, Pedara, Ragalna, S. Agata Li Battiati, S. Giovanni La Punta, S. Gregorio, S. Maria di Licodia, S. Pietro Clarenza, Trecastagni, Tremestieri Etneo, Valverde and Viagrande). Related services include: -management, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems for the municipalities of Adrano and Mascalucia; -research and Development in the field of ICT systems applied to water and wastwater services and network management; -engineered Systems in the field ot water distribution. ACOSET currently employs about 100 people including engineers, experts and network management staff. The Company owns approximately 16,000 square feet of office space for its corporate headquarter in Catania. ACOSET operates water production and distribution systems consisting of a 1,200 Km network system, 11 well pumping plants, 10 booster pumping stations, 2 water treatment facility, 80 reservoir storage facilities with related transmission and distribution mains, 90,000 service connections to individual customers.
