Actema is a non-profit association based in Geneva (Switzerland). It has actually no real charitable activity, but it uses the expertise in finance of its founder to analyse and select charitable projects, associations and foundations for efficient donations, ensuring that the rate of redistribution to the people who need it is as high as possible (usually > 80%).
All costs for the functioning of the organization are covered by its founder and his family.
Vision: Even on a small scale, we believe that it is possible to act effectively and contribute to making our world better.
Mission: Generate donations and promote quality charitable projects around the world, without religious or political involvement. The chosen charitable projects allow sustainable development, in the idea of Confucius: "Give a fish to your son and you willfeed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him forever"
Criterias of selection: High redistribution rate, No politics or religion, Projects that improve the situation sustainably, Transparency of financial statements, Affiliation to control bodies (eg.ZEWO)
