About ACT-GEO
ACT-GEO offers high-quality geosciences consulting and training at competitive prices, with strong emphasis on applicability to business. We provide services in consulting, training and career development. Our focal points for consulting are in regional exploration studies and high-resolution production-scale mapping. In regional studies, we emphasize: interpretation, integration and mapping of 2-D and 3-D seismic data, wells, cores, biostratigraphy and outcrops. During production-scale mapping we focus on: high-resolution interpretation, correlation, data integration and mapping; with a goal of production data integration. These business-oriented studies have a strong focus on the identification and mapping of key play elements in exploration, definition of pressure cells and a development of strategies at production. Training courses are offered as both in-house classes and field schools ACT-GEO provides high-quality courses at very competitive prices, with strong emphasis in business applications. Our philosophy on geosciences training for the industry is based on 3 foundation disciplines: Stratigraphy, Structural Geology and Geophysics. A strong, basic knowledge in these 3 foundation disciplines enable the deployment of an early-career geoscientist to successfully complete assignments from Exploration to Production. ACT-GEO is also involved in designing integrated career development models for the industry in Geosciences. These models involve the different aspects of personal technical growth, from course curriculum, to performance evaluations and milestones for promotions. On research, ACT-GEO works with renowned scientists globally in developing projects focusing on further developing our understanding in Sequence Stratigraphy and Deep-Water Reservoirs. As an example, the second Edition of SEPM’s Atlas “Sequence Stratigraphy of Siliciclastic Systems” is now available and we are now already working on the third edition.
